Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Ultranote - AI Study Notes app and related services operated by IndieNeuron LLC ("Ultranote," "we," "our," or "us").
Information We Collect
Ultranote collects the information needed to create, sync, and improve your notes and study materials.
- Account information, such as your name, email address, and sign-in provider details, when you sign in with Apple or Google.
- Content you provide, including recordings, imported audio, PDFs, images, pasted text, website links, note titles, note content, chat messages, flashcards, quizzes, and mind maps.
- Subscription and purchase information needed to manage paid access, restores, and entitlements.
- Technical and usage information such as IP address, approximate network status, device type, operating system, app interactions, and error information.
Ultranote does not collect precise location information from your device.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate the app and provide its core features.
- Create, organize, sync, and store your notes and uploaded source materials.
- Generate transcripts, notes, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, translations, embeddings, and chat responses from the content you provide.
- Authenticate your account, keep you signed in, and protect account security.
- Process subscriptions, restore purchases, and enforce plan access.
- Detect outages, prevent abuse, troubleshoot bugs, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support requests and required legal or operational notices.
AI Processing
Ultranote uses AI services to process the content you choose to submit, including text, images, audio, video, transcripts, and chat prompts. This processing is used to create study materials and answer follow-up questions inside the app.
If you do not want a file or note to be processed by AI systems, do not upload or submit that content to Ultranote.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate Ultranote.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers that store account data, notes, uploaded sources, chat history, and app state.
- AI service providers that transcribe content and generate study notes, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, translations, embeddings, and chat responses from the content you submit.
- Authentication, subscription, and payment providers that support sign-in flows, purchase processing, entitlement management, and restore purchases.
- Technical service providers used to support app delivery, reliability, and support operations.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rights, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset sale.
Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your account data, notes, uploaded sources, generated study content, and chat history for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the service.
You can request deletion from within the app by using the in-app account deletion flow. When you delete your account, we delete your account record together with the notes, folders, uploaded sources, study content, and chat history associated with that account.
Some records may be retained for a limited period when necessary for billing, fraud prevention, legal compliance, backups, or dispute resolution. Subscription and transaction records may also remain with payment and subscription providers under their own policies.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can stop future collection of app data by uninstalling the app and ceasing use of the service.
- You can revoke photo library, microphone, and other device permissions in your device settings at any time.
- You can sign out of Ultranote, revoke Apple or Google account access through those providers, and delete your account in the app.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion help at support@ultranote.app.
Children
Ultranote is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@ultranote.app so we can investigate and delete the information if appropriate.
Security
We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Your continued use of Ultranote after an update means the revised policy applies to your use of the service.
